We highly recommend installing the transmission and engine mounts as a complete kit. If you want to install all non-OEM height mounts know that there are required modifications.

  4. Slammed & Scrape Spec: Raises the engine by 10mm or 20mm, demanding supporting mods. These options provide maximum clearance for extreme setups.

When installing our +20mm Scrape Spec engine mounts on your BMW E36, Z3, E46, or Z4, there are a few essential modifications to ensure proper fitment and performance:

E36/Z3 Fitment Notes:

  • The fan shroud will need slight modification to create enough room for the raised engine position. This ensures enough room for the fan's operation without interference.
  • The lower radiator hose may need to be trimmed by approximately 0.5 inches to prevent contact with the AC belt.
  • On certain models, like the 1998 328is, the Vanos cover could make contact with the hood, requiring adjustment to avoid any engine vibration or noise.

E46/Z4 Fitment Notes:

  • The engine hook on top of the motor must be removed to avoid interference with the raised engine height.
  • The fan will need to be raised by 1 inch to ensure it remains properly aligned with the radiator, preventing any potential issues with cooling efficiency.
