One of the best ways to improve throttle response in your E36 is to upgrade the engine and transmission mounts. Worn-out rubber mounts allow excessive movement, dull acceleration, and cause sloppy gear changes. Condor mounts eliminate flex and give your BMW a more connected feel on the street and the track.
We offer mounts in three material types to fit your build:
Pairing engine and transmission mounts ensures equal support and delivers the most consistent result from your drivetrain upgrades.
Old rubber bushings are a major source of vague handling and alignment drift. Swapping them for Condor’s heavy-duty, solid UHMW bushings dramatically improves steering feedback, reliability, and alignment retention—especially under spirited or track driving.
Our E36 bushing lineup includes:
Condor Speed Shop is more than just bushings and mounts. We offer a full range of BMW E36 upgrades built to refine your driving experience and simplify your build.
Whether you’re upgrading to carbon fiber blockoffs or replacing your rear trailing arm bushings, our catalog covers the components that matter most.
Condor Speed Shop parts are designed by enthusiasts who live and breathe BMW performance. We manufacture all of our BMW parts in the USA using top-grade materials. From engine mounts to chassis reinforcements to suspension components, every part is engineered to outperform the competition in strength, reliability, and performance.
What is the hardness rating of Condor’s UHMW bushings?
Our UHMW bushings are rated at Shore D 68—perfect for reducing flex while still absorbing minor vibration.
**Hardness Scale goes here**
Do Condor UHMW bushings need lubrication during installation?
Nope. UHMW is a self-lubricating material, meaning it won’t squeak or require grease over time.
Will upgrading to Condor bushings increase vibration or noise?
You may notice a slight increase in NVH when replacing drivetrain mounts, but suspension bushings like rear subframe or control arm bushings typically add little to no additional vibration. Most users find the improved handling is well worth it.
Why do my new engine mounts sit taller than the old ones?
Over time, OEM rubber mounts compress. Our mounts are the same height as factory ones, maintaining proper driveline geometry and improving responsiveness.
Can I upgrade only the transmission mounts on my BMW E36?
We recommend upgrading both engine and transmission mounts together. Mixing soft engine and stiffer transmission mounts can strain mounting brackets and reduce performance gains.
