Complete Chassis Reinforcement Plate Combo / E46

The E46 chassis has several well-documented structural weak points, particularly at the front subframe engine mount, the rear subframe mounting points, and the rear shock mounts. These areas are subjected to repeated load from braking, cornering, drivetrain torque, and suspension movement, and can fatigue or crack over time—on both M3 and non-M cars.

We curated this Complete Subframe Reinforcement Plate Combo to make it easy to address all major subframe- and shock-related failure points on the E46 at once. This combo reinforces the front subframe carrier, rear subframe mounting points, and rear shock towers as a single, cohesive system.

At the front, the plates reinforce the engine mount pads and ball joint mounting points on the front subframe carrier—areas known to crack under increased HP loads. The engine mount pad reinforcements are intended to be welded to the underside of the front subframe, where failures most commonly originate. At the rear, the kit reinforces the chassis-side rear subframe mounting points and the rear shock mounts, helping spread load into stronger sections of the chassis.

The plates are designed to help prevent cracks from forming or to properly repair areas that have already seen damage. All plates are precision cut from 1/8" or 14-gauge steel and are intended to be welded directly into the chassis or subframe, becoming part of the structure. Professional installation is recommended.
