Front Chassis Reinforcement Plate Combo / E46
The front subframe of the E46 chassis is a known stress area, particularly around the engine mount pads and control arm ball joint mounting points. Increased grip, stiffer engine mounts, and track time can fatigue the factory sheet metal in these areas, eventually leading to cracking or deformation.
We created this Front Chassis Reinforcement Plate Combo to make it easy to reinforce the primary front subframe load points all at once, without piecing together individual reinforcements. This kit strengthens both the engine mount pads and the ball joint mounting points on the front subframe carrier, helping distribute loads into stronger sections of the structure.
The plates are designed to be welded directly to the front subframe, becoming part of the structure. The engine mount pad reinforcements are intended to be welded to the underside of the front subframe, where cracking most commonly occurs. Ball joint reinforcement plates are formed from .074" steel to provide added strength without interfering with fitment or suspension geometry. All remaining plates are precision cut from 1/8" (0.125") steel. Professional installation is recommended.
