Reinforcement Plates, Rear Subframe - E36
Rear subframe cracking is one of the most well-known failure points on the E36 chassis. As grip, power, and suspension stiffness increase, the factory sheet metal around the rear subframe mounting points is forced to carry loads it was never designed for. Over time, that stress concentrates at the mounting pockets and leads to cracking or deformation.
Our Rear Subframe Reinforcement Plates address the problem at its source by reinforcing the rear subframe mounting areas and distributing load into a larger section of the chassis. Rather than simply covering cracks, these plates add structure where the E36 needs it most.
Precision cut from .125" (1/8") steel, the plates are designed to be welded in and fully integrated into the chassis. They’re ideal as a preventative upgrade during a subframe refresh, or as part of a proper repair on higher-mileage or track-driven cars.
