BMW E36 Torque Specs (1992–1999)
This section provides the suggested torque specifications for installing Condor Speed Shop products on the BMW E36. Values are based on factory BMW specifications where applicable and adjusted for our different mount collections (VIP, Classic, and Armageddon).
Use this as a quick reference when installing Condor engine mounts, transmission mounts, suspension bushings, subframe bushings, and differential bushings. All specs are shown in both Newton-meters (Nm) and foot-pounds (ft-lb) where applicable.
Important: Use medium-strength Loctite on drivetrain and suspension fasteners to prevent loosening under load.

What torque should I use on Condor E36 transmission mounts?
For Condor VIP transmission mounts, torque to 3.3 ft-lb (40 in-lb). For Classic Collection mounts, torque to 17 ft-lb (23 Nm). For Armageddon mounts, torque to 16 ft-lb (21 Nm).
Do Condor E36 suspension and subframe bushings follow OEM torque specs?
Yes. Use 25 Nm (18 ft-lb) for front control arm bushing carriers, 81 ft-lb (110 Nm) for rear trailing arm to bracket, 57 ft-lb (77 Nm) for trailing arm bracket to chassis, 33 ft-lb (45 Nm) for subframe studs to chassis, and 57 ft-lb (77 Nm) for subframe bolts and nuts.
What torque spec is recommended for Condor E36 differential bushings?
Torque the front differential bushing to 70 ft-lb (95 Nm) and the rear differential cover bushings to 57 ft-lb (77 Nm).
