Typically, when installing the E36 Rack, it is necessary to modify the firewall for clearance in the bottom right corner of the column hole. Our .125 Aluminum plate os a bolt-in solution that simplifies the process.

If you have an airbag car you NEED this. I fought the purple tag rack, nothing lined up. Didn't know about the firewall issue before but I did some research and this is the thing. Still need to remove a tiny bit of metal from the body, but the hole in this thing will guide you.
